Do you know for certain that if you were to die today that you would go to heaven? Everlasting life is a gift from God. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, and rose bodily from the grave, he paid for our sins.
The goal of Howard International Ministries is not just to feed the area homeless and needy, but to help give them the courage to change their lives by having faith in Jesus Christ
Our lives are designed to be lived to fulfill God’s Plan and are to be lived ALL for HIM by helping others. Contact us today to learn more.
Since its founding Howard International Ministries (H.I.M) is proud of what it has accomplished with the help of many volunteers and private donations. Today H.I.M. ministers to needy and homeless people in Pittsburgh weekly by providing a hot meal and encouragement by our ministry teams who offer positive words, fellowship and prayer. In addition H.I.M. receives requests for food and clothing from many additional families. H.I.M. not only provides for physical needs, but also provides spiritual guidance to help those in need become productive members of their communities.
Weekly our ministry teams are feeding and ministering to approximately 90 people. Before the hot meal is served, the word of God is shared. The focus of preaching has been on trusting God and his word by coming to salvation through Faith in Jesus Christ. Our teams of volunteers have been able to pray with almost all who come and many have believed and confessed Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Each week, after the feeding and ministry time is finished, our ministry team joins in intercessory prayer. We gather in a circle and pray for God to continue to bring these people to salvation and wholeness and for God to intervene in the lives of all who come… the homeless, the street people, and the ministry teams as well.
He who is generous will be blessed for he gives some of his food to the poor. – Prov. 22:9
