We were blessed with helpers from several churches and from all around Western PA tonight that read the Gospel message from Luke and served a hearty meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and assorted desserts! Thank you to the youth at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Glenshaw who made plenty of health care kits to hand out.

Luke‬ ‭9:23-27‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.””

Last week we had Jason Howard, Pastor at Amplify Church – City Campus and a team from Amplify …. we couldn’t have said it any better then in his own words. We are so blessed with so many amazing partners like Amplify Church and we could not provide the Gospel to so many without your help.

Jason’s post “Really awesome to drop in on one of our local missions partners tonight. Every week, a crew serves a hot meal to up to 100 homeless people on the street downtown. They’ve been there every Saturday night for 22 years- serving meals, coats, gloves, toiletry packs, and Bibles.
The best moment was when a man asked if we would pray with him to accept Jesus tonight. He lives in a tent near downtown. He can’t read but someone has been telling him about Jesus and using the Bible to teach him to read. Tonight was his first time to get food tonight from us, and when he heard some of our team talking about Jesus, he came up and asked if he could receive Jesus for himself. He’s been wanting to do this since he’s been hearing about the Bible. He received a free plate of hot food tonight, but he was in tears as he asked to receive the ultimate free gift of Jesus’ grace and forgiveness.
Me, my son, my dad and my grandma all prayed with him tonight as he met Jesus. One of the best moments ever for me.”

Matthew 16:24-28
24 “Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

H.I.M. helped Greater Works Home for Girls Orphanage and Academy in Port-Au-Prince Haiti equip their fellowship hall with 100 chairs and 20 tables .

The ministry celebrated Flag Day on May 18th 2016 and were able to utilize the greatly needed chairs.

In the past large gatherings required that chairs and tables would have to be rented which was typically not possible due to the great expense.

We believe the chairs and tables will enable the ministry to be more effective and that all who use these facilities will be blessed by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
